Everything you need to know to keep you up to date this fall!
Anglomania (fyi--that means all things brit!) has taken us by storm (us meaning the U.S.!) with it's tartan plaids and cozy tweeds. Think Keira and Sienna - the most sought after players this year. Crowns are popping up everywhere, from screen tees to charm bracelets. Plaids are playing a major role in mini skirts, (read: kilts!) bags, and even platform shoes. Crisp, white shirts are a big part of the layered look going on in Anglomania. And don't forget to sling on your a la Chanel quilted bag, which is a must this fall!
Grunge has made a comeback in a big way, and the fall runways were full of slouchy stocking caps and knit beanies, lumberjack plaids and tattered dresses. Endless layering of thermal tees, flannels and chunky sweaters over long skirts and jumpers are what's hot for fall. And using at least one oversized piece of clothing is what makes the whole thing work! Add leggings, socks, lace up booties or tall boots, and, of course, layers of jewelry, and you're good to go!
Versailles and the French Court of good ol' Louis, led by Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette, reminds us that metallics and ruffles, lacy frills and rich velvets are major must haves this season. Move over, silver, here comes gold! Gold chains, metallic gold trim, gold brocade...gold, gold, gold!
Add skinny, stovepipe jeans or wide leg denim to the mix in any of these fall trends and you're officially ready for fall! Don't forget to add your own personal touch, or mix it up and combine your own fav looks from all these trends - it all works this fall!
